I am Mr. Justin Jacob; an Accountant/Auditor in a foreign life insurance firm based in berlin Germany. I got your "contact details" from a web information service system. I’m aware that this letter has come to you as a surprise as we haven't met before or handled any business deals in the past.
I am contacting you in reference to a deceased policyholder; the late Mr. Kobus, an expatriate customer, who passed away suddenly from a heart attack. He has been our customer for over eighteen years. His life insurance death benefit is (US$5. 5 million). Since his death, no one so far has come forward to claim the funds. We have searched for his beneficiary and all efforts made were unsuccessful.
However, our company’s rules stipulate that death benefits that stay unclaimed until the end of the approved dormancy period; the proceeds would be transferred into the insurer bank account as an abandoned fund. I don't want the proceeds to go into the insurer bank account as an abandoned fund.
Therefore, I would like to ask for your consent to work jointly with you and help you to claim the proceeds since you are from the same country with the deceased I will project you as a relative and beneficiary to his policy and the claim would be approved to you successfully with my help. Upon approval of the claim, my lawyer will prepare all the legal papers needed for the release of the funds to you.
